The President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia Michael Banzhaf on the occasion of completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

President Sarkissian thanked Ambassador Banzhaf for his contribution to the deepening of Armenian-German ties and strengthening of friendship between the two countries and peoples. The President noted that, as a young parliamentary republic, it was significant for Armenia to get acquainted during this period with the experience of Germany that has traditions of parliamentary government, and thanked for the support and cooperation in the exchange of experience.

Ambassador Michael Banzhaf noted that he would remain a good friend of Armenia, and henceforth too, he would try to contribute as much as possible to the development of relations between the two countries.
